This morning we took advantage of one of few days off to go hike in Karura Forest. At over 2,000 acres of land their are multiple trails and activities to do within the forest. The forest at one point was going to be taken down for development but Wangari Maathai (the women who started the greenblet movement) lead a protest even being physically beaten in the process to save it.
We originally wanted to go biking but due to the rain season we have entered the bikes were closed. Instead we took about a 4 mile walk through the trails to a waterfall. We finished our hike at a cafe inside the forest for brunch, which was beautiful. The cafe was completely open on all sides giving you great views on the forest. We spent pretty much the whole day there which was so peaceful and relaxing. Ask us how we feel when we are all stuck inside writing our Urban/ Rural homestay paper due on Tuesday.

A) I wish I was at your forest cafe right now ☕️
and
B) Kenya nailed it with Oktobafest ... just like Boston 🤣
