“May we have Banana Juice?”

Tonight for dinner the KSP staff took us out to dinner at a restaurant called Carnivore which was very similar to a Brazilian Steak house. Since the drinking age in Kenya is 18 most of my peers ordered different alcoholic drinks to go with the assortment of meats we were trying. Mikayla and I on the other hand opted to follow one of our staffs example and order the pineapple juice. Not only was the pineapple juice amazing but we found out that the juices were part of the meal and therefor free! With this new information we decided we would try all the different juices because why not. We both thought we had seen banana juice on the menu so the next time the waiter came around Mikayla confidently said “may we have some banana juice?” This question was answered with a confused look from the waiter. Turns out that they don’t have banana juice, however we both swear we saw it on the menu. Despite not having banana juice we still got to try both the mango and the passion fruit juices, passion fruit being my favorite. Leaving the restaurant on a sugar high. We are on the hunt to find banana juice, even though the Jeou tells us he doesn’t think it’s a thing.

Tomorrow we leave for are rural homestay and so I won‘t be blogging for the next 9 days. Talk to everyone when I get back :)
