Junior year officially started today with 8:30am Swahili class, which lasted 3 hours. However we do get a 10 minute chai break which I am told is brain power and must be taken before we show up for class. My professor is very energetic and keeps my 5 person classes wide awake.
Over the last two days besides being in class we have gotten to explore both Nairobi and Karen with the help of some local college kids. I can say I officially made my first purchase although the cashier laughed at me the whole time because I had no idea how much each coin was worth. I will say the USA has to step up its money quality though since here the money has lions and giraffes on it.
We have also also started our own boot camp on the compound with 6:30am runs and ab and hitt workouts. Here we go Saints!
The weather is colder then I expected it To be being in the high 60s for the past few days. It also gets dark by 6pm everyday making us think it’s way later than it is.
kawaheri for now!
