Swollen feet, dehydrated, and tired we landed in Nairobi Kenya after a long 14 hour flight. We were met at the airport by the KSP staff and loaded on a bus to the compound. The compound is a 5 acer piece of land with at least 10 buildings. It almost has a camp feel to it. I am staying in the Coup which is a small building off the back of the main building. We have two rooms and two bathrooms for 3 girls. I’m happy to say everything is very nice on the compound. The staff is warm and welcoming, the food is yummy and we have chia (tea) time everyday. The one thing we are told to be on the look out for are the monkeys. I think the exact words were “stand your ground don’t let, the monkeys intimidate you”. So I guess as long as long as I can stand up to the monkeys I’ll be just fine!

It’s 8:30pm and I’m already on the top bunk under the mosquito net ready for bed. Who knows how long we have been up for at this point but laying down has never felt so good!

We loved reading about your day. Grandmother says to “stay away from the monkeys!”
